Perferct for the Halloween season,
I’d like to share the latest release, ECHOES IN STONE, written by Kat Sheridan who loves to write "Romance to die for."
Scare it away, Kat!

A letter from the grave…
Lily is dead. But a mysterious letter launches her
half-sister, Jessa Palmer, on a harrowing journey into the wilds of Cornwall to
rescue Lily’s daughter from a tyrant of a father, a man who confessed to
murder. Jessa follows in Lily’s footsteps to a forbidding castle on the cliffs,
but discovers the past will not stay dead at Tremayne Hall. Someone—or
something—wants to ensure Jessa is no more successful at escaping than was
Lily.
Bitter, brooding, and tragically scarred, Viscount Dashiell
Tremayne believes Jessa is just like her manipulative, unfaithful half-sister.
He’s not about to let another treacherous woman into his home or into his
heart. Particularly not a woman who’s come to steal his daughter. Only one can
win in the battle for a child’s life. Then the accidents begin.
A passion that threatens to consume them…
Jessa wants only to take her niece and escape the grim
manor. But Dash, fiercely protective of those he loves, gives up nothing that
belongs to him. As the danger escalates, so does the heat between Jessa and
Dash. Soon she’ll have to make a choice: surrender the child to a man she
cannot trust or surrender her heart to the same fires of passion that destroyed
Lily.

About Kat:
Kat Sheridan is a former project manager
and business analyst whose very serious exterior hides a secret romantic. She
is fond of books, bourbon, big words, coffee, and shiny things. She is known to
wear glitter-pink nail polish under her combat boots, when she bothers wearing
shoes at all. To be honest, that isn't very often.Kat splits her time between the Midwest in the summer and the South in the winter, sharing her home with the love of her life and an exceedingly dignified Shih Tzu. No matter where her body is, though, Kat’s imagination can most often be found on some storm-wracked coast, plotting historical romances that include forbidding castles, menacing villains, and heartthrob heroes. She imagines a world where men are men, and spirited women can conquer even the toughest of them with a sultry glance, a passionate kiss, and a few well-chosen words. Or with a sword, pistol, or jeweled dagger if that whole “sultry glance/passionate kiss” thing doesn't work too well at first.

Mahalo for the shout out, Mark!
Kat this sounds like a fascinating read :)
Love the name Dash!
I'll have to go check this one out...
Seems like another good book that can be found on line. Great post,
Yvonne.
Ooh, this sounds really good! You had me right away with a letter from the grave...
Thanks for sharing, Mark and great to meet you, Kat!
A letter from the grave? That is pretty perfect for Halloween.
It sounds like a really great read! Glad you shared :)
Sounds like it would make a good movie.
Ooo spooky castle on the cover-- just sets the mood!
Also, that was a great elevator pitch for the book-- one of the better I've read.
Woohoo! I love this month. Something tells me I was born when all the creepy stuff some out for a reason. :)
I wish you success on the book, Kat.

Tossing It Out
Hello all, and thank you for the book love! Melissa, I love the name Dash as well! This book was originally started as part of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and I needed to hit the ground running with a name. I was readding Dashiell Hammett at the time and blatantly stole the name. And it fit him so perfectly that it stayed that way!
Optimistic Existentialist, I love your user name!
Hi, Yvonne, and thanks for stoppping by! And Julie, it's great to meet you as well! The best thing about visiting blogs is the new people I get to meet!
Samantha, I think it would be a great read for Halloween, or any other dark and rainy night! I live in Florida in the winter, and the one thing I miss is the opportunity to curl up with a roaring fire, a cozy blanket, and something hot to drink while a storm rages outside and on the pages of a good book!
Oh Alex, I'd love to see this as a movie! I love the wonderful old black and white gothics like "Rebecca" or "Gaslight", with the vibrating violin music and the close up of the heroine's face with dawning horror, just before the scream....!
Julie, isn't that cover the best?! The photo of the hero, and the cover itself was done by Kim Killion at Hot Damn! Designs/ She does the best work! I picked out the photo of the cover model (who is actually a fitness trainer named Harvey. And sorry ladies, he's married.) I told Kim I wanted a castle on a cliff with a single light in the tower, just like the old gothic romances, and she did the rest. I was just gobsmacked! And thank you for liking the pitch. I have a small business writing back cover copy for indie-pubbed authors, so it's good to know the pitch is appealing!
David, happy birthday to you, whenever it is this month! And Lee, thank you!
Looks like a very cool book! Thanks for featuring, Mark!
Grab the kid and run Jessa. Crazy book.
Awesome stuff. I love Cornwall and would read anything set there!
This truly sounds interesting!

Totally perfect pick for October and Halloween. I'm intrigued!
Typically, I'm not a romance reader, but I'd buy this one! Castles; dour heroes; mysteries....yeah. I'd buy it :)
Hey Mark!
Kat's bio cracks me up. Love it! Congrats on the release.
