"GaryFest" & HAPPY 802nd BIRTHDAY, Father Dragon :)

Aloha,

Alongside my co-hosts, I am so happy to help kickoff the Anti-Blogfest that will forever live on as "GaryFest."

Using several tongues in cheeks, we've designed this event as a blog hop to honor Mr. anti-blog hop himself, our Gary at Klahanie.

"GaryFest" is hosted by:

The one rule was *very* simple:

1. Create the titles of three PG-13 rated blogfests you would never join - and then add a descriptive sentence or two.

For example, would you sign up for the Blocked up Toilet Blogfest - "where crap happens" ???

So, without further use of the loo...

(Rips open cheesy, oversized looking envelope with some nasty blue wax on one end...)

...Here then are my three offerings to Blog Hops I would never join.

Evah.

The Open Wound Blog Fest (where scabs tweet their followers to, "Pick me, pick me.")

The He-Ain't-Heavy, He's my Shoplifting-Brother Blog Hop (where Toys 'R' Theirs - until they get busted in the parking lot.)

The Pithy Party Blog Fest (where everyone sits around, all subdued and depressed because no one can think to say anything with substance and point.)

I am soooo looking forward to reading your entries, so THANKS for participating :)

#########

On a different note, I wanted to (in case you hadn't heard) remind folks and offer a belated Happy 802nd Birthday to our friend, Father Dragon.

Al was kind enough to include me as a "special guest" and I wanted to share his artist's rendition of me on an Oirish dance floor:)

Cheers, Al and all I can say is: "Mi amigo, usted es una estrella de rock" :)

Al's party was awesome! Too bad your clone's shiny head melted the clone machine. Once again, I have the only one!
The He-Ain't-Heavy one is great!

Vidya Sury said...

Hi Mark! This is so delightful! :-) I am closely following all those involved in the GaryFest! :-)

Every one needs a clone. Think of how much writing I could get done if I had a clone to do all the cleaning.

The Open Wound Blogfest? That will compete with the My Nose is Bigger Than Your Nose Blogfest. Both cry out, "Puck me. Pick me."

Howdy, Mark! *waved* I didn't have my contribution for today's blogfest up yet, for which I hope you'll forgive me!
The Open Wound BlogFest would be one of those "I've gotta see it even though I know it'll be disgusting" things. The Pithy Party, I'd avoid at all costs. I'm surrounded by enough empty headed fools without signing up to purposely join more!

Great blogfest idea!!!

Suzi said...

Um, ewww to your #1. I'll pass on that too.

Your blogfest ideas made me want to run screaming, so I'd say you've made a successful submission for the blogfest. haha.

Loved them, Mark! Isn't it true that all the shoplifters at TRU seem to get busted in the parking lot. They thought they were home free!

Hey Mark! Pick Me?! Ewww! But, funny! I'll have to think a bit to see what, if anything, I can come up with for your blogfest! Thanks for a laugh...and a Ewwww this morning! :)

Eww with the Wound Blogfest idea. Hahaha, you really made me laugh.
I can hear the Oirish accent in your Spanish. Extraordinary!!!
Amiguito, muchas gracias. Me alegro que te guste tu clon. ;)

No no no... never join any of yours although the pithy party might have possibilities.

BOL! ;)

Loved the "Open Sore Hop"...great job and thanks for hosting, Monty! :)

Mark Means said...

Oh, I meant to stutter here, then figured I shouldn't make fun of other's (digital) speech impediments :P

Enjoy your anti fest!!!

Too funny! For the Pithy Party I picture a bunch of stodgy old men smoking cigars and snuttering in their beards as they sip their drinks.

Morgan said...

Ewwwww!!!! You went there!!!! "Pick me, pick me" ... Dyyyyying... *shudders*

And hahaha... Mark, I want to know where you've seen nasty blue wax before... do cheesy oversized envelopes usually have nasty blue wax on them??? LOL!

Totally laughing. You are the king of wit. Love it.

(And thanks for being the mastermind behind this whole thing. I don't know how you come up with this brilliant stuff...)

Is that how you say Rockstar in Spanish? Awesome. hehe

I'm loving the Gary-Fest entries so much! You guys are hilarious. "where crap happens" LOL! Thanks for the Monday morning laugh :)

Yo n'stuff, Sir Mazza,

The Blogged-up Toilet Blogfest would be added crap, me thinks.

Love the way you think out of the blog, dude. I shall be tweeting your Scabfest. Hope it doesn't open old wounds.

Was that you I saw in the car park, um parking lot?

The third one is actually tempting. Nothing like a bit of awkward silence :) Forgot what I was going to say.....

Oh yeah, gosh and thanks for the irony :)

The dragon's birthday has been all over 'Farcebook'. With one mighty breath, the dragon lit 802 candles...

Your dumbstruck fan,

Gary...........

Thank you for honouring the lovely Gary.

Susan Flett Swiderski said...

Gee, bloggers are going all out in pursuit of the best/worst ideas in honor of Gary. "Open wounds" may just about take the prize, though, for the most disgusting. Way to go, dude!

Thanks for concocting the plans for this fest. Great idea!

The Pithy Party. Yeah, I was asked to host that, you know. Except that I entered the wrong door and wound up at The Pity Party.

Bad blogs, dude. Bad, real baaadddd!

Unknown said...

Oh, Mark, those blog fests cracked me up. Seriously. LOL Thanks for the chuckles.

And I appreciate you commenting on Sara's post today about my book. You are awesome!

EEEEWWWW, that first one would have fit right in with mine. Inspired by some young Mini-Marks, perhaps?

Fun choices and the Oirish you reminds me of Aang from Avatar, The Last Airbender :D
