Got Green? Blog O'hop (Linky is Live :)

Sláinte and welcome to the Got Green? Blog O’hop (v 2.0'.)
If you weren’t here for the fun last year, you missed some mighty craic (and I’m not referring to illegal narcotics – unless you mean the addictive laughter found among my Irish friends as they recollect my early “adventures” growing up on the streets and thoroughfares of Dublin City... sigh...)

Here’s the simple concept behind the Got Green? Blog O’hop:
I'd LOVE to hear your Irish stories, real or imagined...

For example,

·         What does St. Paddy’s Day mean to you?

·         What are your family traditions on Paddy’s Day?

·         What Irish food do you cook, if anything?

·         What are your favorite memories, or future plans to visit the Emerald Isle?

(Flash fiction is more than welcome for these or anything else you might want to share... I mean, seriously, we're only here for a pint of the dark stuff and a laugh.)

One big question I got a LOT this year: I did the O’hop last year, and have nothing new to share? Should I bother?
No worries. It’s O’k to repost last year’s effort – journalists don’t call these evergreen stories for nothing :)

The Linky Link (below) is O'pen until March 16, and everyone is invited to O’hop around on March 15 – the Friday before St. Patrick's Day, (Sunday, March 17)
So, go ahead... share some great "Oirish" memories – or just tell a tall tale or two about the wee Leprechauns that lived in the basement of your oul’ granny’s house.
The Word Count total is set at 333 (and if you think that's a weird number... say it in an "Oirish" accent, it makes more sense :)

Thanks to all those who have already helped promoted the O’hop and I appreciate everyone who joins in the fun.

Please feel free to grab the button here, or above the link.

(Many thanks to the fahbuhlouss Leigh Covington for her designing skills – yet again :)

I have a couple of prizes to give out to the best reads, including:

·         Grand prize: $25 Amazon/Visa Gift Card :)

·         First Runner-up: One three-chapter critique

·         Second Runner-up: One query critique

·         Thirty-third Runner-up: Family Size Box of Lucky Charms

Winners will be notified by March 24.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide in sharing the Got Green? Blog O’hop (v.2.0')

(P.S. If you stopped by for a W.R.I.T.E update, I'm moving them to Fridays... The poor things keep on getting bumped on Mondays :)

The box of lucky charms is tempting....

This sounds like fun but too bad my knowledge of Irish culture is nearly non-existant, except from what I learned in Discovery channel's Great Castles of Europe series.

Looks like a great blog hop. I'm gearing up for A to Z so I'm not posting much for March. I need to catch up with everyone else before the madness begins. :)

I'll spread the word, but I don't really celebrate St. Patrick's day. No Irish blood in me as far as I can tell. :-D

I'm in, my first time. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

Looks like a lot of fun, but I was hoping one of the prizes might be a pot of gold....just sayin' :P

Looking forward to it!

St Paddy's day means the day it should really be warm and never is quite warm enough. Oh, and pinches and Irish. Sounds like fun and my vote is for the Lucky Charms :)

I bet you're a load of fun on St. Patty's Day!

Dang! I had a whole year to come up with a tradition and failed!!!

I'll come up with something...even if I have to consult the blarney stone.

Looking forward to it Mark! I'm already pondering my post!

Hi Mark!

What a great idea... for Irish people. If I run into a leprechaun between now and then I'll write something!

This sounds like fun! I'm a redhead, so participation is mandatory for me.

I'm just heading off for work, so my entry will be latter on this evening, but I will be there!
