Sláinte and welcome to the Got Green? Blog O’hop (v 2.0'.)
If you weren’t here for the fun last year, you missed some
mighty craic (and I’m not
referring to illegal narcotics – unless you
mean the addictive laughter found among my Irish friends as they recollect my
early “adventures” growing up on the streets and thoroughfares of Dublin City... sigh...)For example,
·
What
does St. Paddy’s Day mean to you?
·
What
are your family traditions on Paddy’s Day?
·
What
Irish food do you cook, if anything?
·
What
are your favorite memories, or future plans to visit the Emerald Isle?
One big question I got a LOT this year:
I did the O’hop last year, and have
nothing new to share? Should I bother?
No worries. It’s O’k to repost last
year’s effort – journalists don’t call these evergreen stories for nothing :)
The Linky Link (below) is O'pen until March 16, and everyone is invited to O’hop around on March 15 – the Friday before St. Patrick's Day, (Sunday, March 17)

So, go ahead... share some great "Oirish" memories – or just tell
a tall tale or two about the wee Leprechauns that lived in the basement of your
oul’ granny’s house.
The Word Count total is set
at 333 (and if you think that's a weird number... say it in an "Oirish" accent, it makes more sense :)
Thanks to all those who have already
helped promoted the O’hop and I appreciate everyone who joins in
the fun.

The box of lucky charms is tempting....
This sounds like fun but too bad my knowledge of Irish culture is nearly non-existant, except from what I learned in Discovery channel's Great Castles of Europe series.
Looks like a great blog hop. I'm gearing up for A to Z so I'm not posting much for March. I need to catch up with everyone else before the madness begins. :)
Lucky Charms - very tempting!
Looking forward to this again--lots of fun last year! :)
I'll spread the word, but I don't really celebrate St. Patrick's day. No Irish blood in me as far as I can tell. :-D
I'm in, my first time. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
Looks like a lot of fun, but I was hoping one of the prizes might be a pot of gold....just sayin' :P
Looking forward to it!
St Paddy's day means the day it should really be warm and never is quite warm enough. Oh, and pinches and Irish. Sounds like fun and my vote is for the Lucky Charms :)
I bet you're a load of fun on St. Patty's Day!
Dang! I had a whole year to come up with a tradition and failed!!!
I'll come up with something...even if I have to consult the blarney stone.
Looking forward to it Mark! I'm already pondering my post!
This sounds like fun. I missed last year. Looking forward to reading the entries!
O'Heather!
You may be sorry, but... Oh-kay. I'll do it. :P
Who could resist a box of Lucky Charms?
......dhole
Best of luck with this one, Mark! :D
Half Irish and flash fiction is welcome...certainly can't pass that up! I'm in:)
I remember laughing my arse (sorry, couldn't help myself) reading these last year! Can't wait to see this year's offerings. :)
Hi Mark,
Congrats! You were voted second Best Commenter in the Paying Forward Awards.
Please check out my blog to see how you can claim your prize.
Misha
This was so fun last year. This year, I've got my eyes on that box of Lucky Charms. ;)
I am SO doing this again! :D
I'm in! I've got my eye on the prize (Lucky Charms, of course...what college kid can actually afford cereal?)
:D
Hi Mark!
What a great idea... for Irish people. If I run into a leprechaun between now and then I'll write something!
This sounds like fun! I'm a redhead, so participation is mandatory for me.
I'm just heading off for work, so my entry will be latter on this evening, but I will be there!
