So. Now the travel craziness is over - for awhile - I'm gunning to get back to a bit of normalcy, and so here's some Midweek Moments (from the last two weeks:)
Dodgy duck version of Abbey Road (or should I say - Lake?) |
Personally, I'd choose another logo for the stores at Helsinki airport... |
And off he climbs... will he make it? |
Good to see the local council cleans the area's graffiti on a timely basis! |
This mansion - on the beach side - is completely gutted/empty. What happened? |
Happy sigh... |
Where there is a hill, there's a way... |
And of course, there's always one that wants the best view... |
No idea what to caption this... "Sunset-ty pine tress?" |
Drove up a hill to watch a sunset. #Peaceful. |
"Of course I made it, Papa!" |

Some lovely snippets. Thank you.
Hi Mark - as EC said ... some fun photos - love the Hel one - didn't realise ... so thankfully you enlightened us! Enjoy your new scenery and good luck - cheers Hilary
Some great shots. And of course your son made it. Kids can climb anything.
That sunset with the cattails photo is stunning.
Picture #1- Winner, best caption!
#2- "Here in the home of the dishonored dead, we strive to give the living a great experience... just mind you watch out for the dog on the way out..."
#4- Come now, is 8 years so long...
#5- aren't you the real estate guy, lol? I'll shoot a wild guess at either bankruptcy or safety issues. But, it ISN'T my neighborhood...
#6- ditto, along with 10 and 11.
If my comments don't match the pictures, keep in mind I didn't have my shoes off to count yet...
Love the pix Mork and, as Alex said, kids can climb anything. Sunset is always a lovely thing to photograph.
What fun, and beauty. I envy you! Happy Valentine's day Mark!
I suppose they're leaving the graffiti until it hits landmark status. Then it will probably fade and they'll have to start plans for restoration.
Those sunsets are gorgeous and yes, they need a new catchphrase for their store. LOL
