iwsg - Capital Letters Need Not Apply

It’s Insecure Writers' Support Group time!

As always, a huge thanks to Alex J. Cavanaugh, founder of IWSG and a jolly good chap to boot.

###

Having finished A-Z, like so many others, I am trying to get back into the normal swing of things...

Actually, that's not true, because I was totally struggling to keep my blog going.

Now, with 26 posts written in the last month, I have, at least, lit a fire up my literary posterior and am feeling a lot "stronger."

Thus, my insecurity this month is a simple one: I don't want to slip back into pre-Challenge mode,

Yeah, April was tough, but it turned out to be a very worthwhile experience.

Thanks, then, to everyone who read up on my theme, the soon-to-be published memoir, REVIVAL, which I wrote for former professional opera singer, Donald Braswell.

Here's to the future that gives us hope - and screw the past that pulls us back.

Hi, Mark....

You did well! Keep up the good work. I've always enjoyed your comical posts from the past, and I am sure we will all be in for lots of treats for the rest of the year!

Congrats again on getting your memoir published! I always knew you could do it!

The A to Z has always struck my lazy self as a HUGE challenge. Congratulations on finishing it.
Loved your theme. Will have your book.

I hope to see you back in the blogging world, Mark!

I recommend starting small. I only post twice a week, and I believe even the indefatigable Alex Cavanaugh posts just once a week.

I give you credit, Mark, I'm ready to go back into hibernation for a while. :)

You don't have to go at that same pace, but do keep momentum going. Maybe just once a week, like I post?

I wasn't just blowing smoke. I can't wait to read your memoir!

I like your quote, will have to post that on a wall!
Looks like the move went well - like your new look - I know I'm late, I unplugged in April, but am jumping back! Writing a memoir is a goal of mine - any secrets?

I didn't mak eit to all your A-Z posted but I loved the ones I did. I hope you can ride that wave to someplace great.

I think I'm going to go down to one post per week, except on special occasions. No way is the A-Z pace possible to keep up. Good luck getting back into the groove :)

You did an amazing job last month. As long as you post a couple of times a month, you should be good. :) Looking forward to the new book. Have a great night! Eva, IWSG co-host

I enjoyed the tidbits from your book. Hope you keep the blog going and fill us in on the new location.

I think you did a wonderful job doing your A to Z and hope you feel inspired to continue blogging now. I too will look forward to your book. As everyone says, don't try and do too many blogs a week. I do one every day, but then as I keep saying, I am retired. While alive brother, while alive

I'm with you Dude! Onward soldiers march! Besides, you have three really good and in-your-face reasons for continuing your forward movement. There is NO way to go backwards when they keep you moving in a constant direction ahead! If ever you fear... take your cue from them! And though I've said it before, your theme rocked!

I've done A to Z in the past, but I didn't do it this year. I'm glad you found it a worthwhile experience.

Good luck with the memoir. I skimmed through a few of your posts from last month. One of my current manuscripts, a non-fiction story, was also inspired by news writing work I'd done.

Hi Mark - your A-Z posts on Donald and his story kept us all hooked and I'm so pleased it all worked out for him .. .desperate to have that sort of talent and passion and not be able to pursue it ... thankfully he did - and you were able to write up his story for him ...

Those littlies will keep you occupied and give you that reason to write ... see you around the blogosphere ... well that might be a white lie .. but I'll be around?! Cheers and enjoy the new placement .. Hilary

Congratulations on finishing A-Z and working so hard last month! I hope you're having fun with blogging again.

Yay for finishing A to Z. I did not have the fortitude for attempting that challenge this year. Maybe next. :)

You did a great job! I decided a long time ago that I would have fun with my blog. That has kept me in the game. I may not be the best blogger, but I do what I can. It's hard with kids and books- those are the things we can't slack off on.

I so need to go back and read all of your A-Z posts! :D
