A Red Balloon for Andrew...
Aloha,
Like many others, and per the family's request, I wanted to honor the memory of Andrew McNaughton with the release of a Red Balloon.
The chosen time was Friday at 11 a.m. (GMT), which is midnight Thursday here in Honolulu, Hawaii.
My apologies for the dark (and street) lighting in most of the pictures, but I wanted to do what I could to capture the Red Balloon as it made its way toward the heavens.
Rest in peace, Andrew...

Thank God in deed. Beautiful post Mark.
I love that quote from Rutherford. Dark or no that was an amazing flight of the love balloon!

Another nice post about this. I have kind of missed this. I guess I haven't been looking at the blogs that had mentioned this tribute coming up and I haven't visited Nick's blog too much. Sorry about his loss. It is a tragic situation. Good to see he's gotten so much support.

Tossing It Out
Hi Mark,
And so be it, your red balloon, along with the others, floats and recollects the memory of Andrew. Poignant and powerful and a cherished ideal for Nick and his family.
On behalf of Gary,

This was a great photo sequence - thanks so much for sharing, Mark!
