ColumBEAN Coffee Hop (pick me, pick me!!)

Aloha,

Michael Di Gesu is hosting the Coffee Blog Hop today and the only requisite to winning a pound of delicious ColumBEAN coffee is to winningly explain why you (no...me, me, me) loves coffee.

Here are three good reasons why I, like a drip, simply adores coffee:

#3: Coffee supports me.
I'm a stay-at-home dad to three boys under the age of seven, so I drink about ten cups of coffee a day just to keep up with the minions rushing around.

#2: Coffee loves ME.
Buying decaf is like cheating on my beautiful beverage. The smell of freshly roasted beans in the morning (or afternoon) evokes feelings of a fresh start - a project begun - a new day and even the occasional happiness of all-the-kids-sitting-quietly-on-the-couch time.

#1: Coffee is a K-Cup
With nary a brassiere in sight, the number one reason I love coffee is because of the Keurig K-Cup brewing system.
Since the dawn of the drip coffee machines, these fantastic Coffee Machines are like the Best invention ever. (Personally, I've always felt the wheel was a tad over-rated.)

With a Keurig, which means "neat" in Dutch, (those clever clogs) all you do is switch on the machine, place your favorite Pod in the dispenser, close, add water and choose the size of the cup.

Fresh. Delicious. No-mess. *Strong.* Coffee. In A Minute.

What is there not to love ;)

In fact, if I were a matchmaker, I would nudge Spotify to marry Keurig and life would be musically reinvigorating.

Thanks to Michael for a fun Blog Hop and if you want to join, click here for the link.

I totally agree that the Keurig is the best invention ever. I have one at home and at work!!

Hi, Mark. What a fun post on coffee. We got a Keurig as a family Christmas gift, so we've been trying the different coffees in K-cups. I did buy a couple of those reusable pods and they work great. I've found that my loose leaf tea also brews very nicely in them.

Maybe if I had kids I would need that pick-me-up to survive.

Okay. Now I need to get a Keurig.

I love the fast, efficient Keurig too, but my husband says NO! We must brew slooowly...But our coffeemaker is on a timer so it's not so bad.

We definitely need coffee to deal with the little ones at times! Wow! Three under seven, that's quite a task you've got going on there! Good for you, Dad!

MAN, do you NEED that coffee. Keeping up with three boys is quite a chore!

But Mark, You won't be abel to use the COLOBIAN Coffee in your Keurig.... Does that mean you won't BREW if you win? LOL.

I am a total brewer! Nothing like the aroma wafting through my kitchen and the anticipation while hearing the stream of liquid flowing into the stainless coffee pot!

Thanks for HOPPING along with us. And the twitter shout outs!

I'm not a coffee person but people love it all over the world. So give a toast to coffee.

Hmmmm... I kind of felt like a third wheel in this post... do I need to leave the room? Feels... a bit awkward...

Just kidding. :) I have never tried coffee, but man, this relationship sounds like mine with hot chocolate!!!

Keurigs ARE the best invention EVER!

The Keurig is one of the most awesome inventions ever. I need massive caffeine all day every day. LOL

Keeping up with three little ones is definitely a call for lots and lots of coffee.

I think decaff should be declared illegal.

Ooh, a Spotig. I think you're on to something.

Ah Mr. mark, you are always a clever drip! I never knew that's what Kerug meant...and no, I probably didn't spell that right because I am a deprived soul.

And you're so right...hearing that first morning pot does feel like it's the fuel for the fresh day. Perfectly said.

I hate coffee, which somehow makes me feel not very grown up at all. It's so sophisticated to order a coffee in a coffee shop, and there I am, drinking hot chocolate!

Yeah, dude, you definitely need coffee to keep up with the minions. And I couldn't agree more about the "D" word--how could they even do that to coffee? Everyone keeps raving about the Keurig. At least they now make re-fill baskets for them, so you actually COULD use it for the Columbian. That would be awesome.

I'm more of a tea gal, but it sounds like coffee is much needed in the Koopmans household. ;)

Coffee's overrated. Stick with tea...or Guinness.

I have one coffee a day, usually, and it's my morning treat to get me ready for the workday. But I do think I love the smell of coffee beans more than I even love coffee.

I've got a Capresso that froths and steams and then cleans up after itself. Your Keurig sounds wonderful and obviously it keeps you up and running after those boys!

Ooh, ten cups a day sounds lovely... Funny, I haven't tried a Keurig yet! I've tried a Tassimo and didn't like it (it produces sludge no matter which brand you place in there) and I've tried Nespresso (they're annoying because you have to buy their brand and nothing else).
